I LOVE it when clients from out of town (or even state!) contact me for photos. I traveled down to St. Louis for the second time in the past few months, this time to photograph Alison & Matt’s engagement session.

We scheduled this session during that beautiful, February week, with 60 degree temps and sunny skies. When Saturday rolled around, it was 40 degrees with a wind chill. I was in a coat and didn’t mind at all, but Alison and Matt didn’t seem to let the weather phase them either and were happy to have me drag them around all afternoon! Honestly, as cold as winter can be, it gives some of the best golden light with the darker and earthy tones of everything around it. I think I dragged this session out until the last bit of golden hour was over since I just couldn’t get enough of these two.

Matt and Alison, thank you so much for letting me come down and photograph your session. You two are so fun together and I cannot wait to photograph your big day this Fall!
